Between the mountains and valleys of the Basque Country, the Mondragón–Eskoriatza High-Speed Railway emerged as one of the region’s major engineering challenges, shaped by particularly demanding terrain. The need to overcome significant changes in elevation and cross the landscape with precision turned each viaduct into an undertaking where engineering, planning and technical expertise had to progress side by side.
