The Viaduct over the Cabriel River stands out for its innovative construction process. This infrastructure was built in the town of Cofrentes, a sparsely populated area of significant industrial importance, as it is home to one of Spain’s main nuclear power plants. The construction of this viaduct has significantly improved road safety in the region.
  • Year of execution: 2009
  • Location: Cofrentes, Spain
  • Technical Solutions: Self-Launching Formwork and Climbing Formwork
  • Full length: 520,00 m

For the construction of the bridge deck, ConstruGomes used an overhead self-launching formwork system, whose main innovation lies in the OPS (Optimized Power System). This system simulates the functioning of a human muscle, automatically adjusting the applied force according to the load being supported. This technology reduces deformations and minimizes structural stresses, enabling greater control and efficiency during construction.
