The Deza River Viaduct, located in Silleda. This large-scale structure extends for 1,175 metres across 18 spans and features a main pointed arch span measuring approximately 150 metres, with a height of 106 metres.
  • Year of execution: 2008
  • Location: Silleda, Spain
  • Technical Solutions: Incremental Launching, Traditional Formwork and Climbing Formwork
  • Total extension: 1.185,00 m

Responsible for constructing the bridge deck using the incremental launching method, ConstruGomes built its 65,000-tonne deck outside the structure and progressively pushed it into its final position over the piers. Another remarkable achievement was the construction of the arch, carried out through the controlled lowering of two 110-metre semi-arches, initially erected vertically before being inclined and joined at the centre to form the main span.
